Chocolate Chip Cookies



Ingredients:
  • 2 1/4 cups (280g) all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1 cup (230g) unsalted butter (softened)

  • 3/4 cup (150g) granulated sugar

  • 3/4 cup (160g) packed brown sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 2 large eggs

  • 2 cups (340g) semisweet chocolate chips

  • Optional: 1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.

  3. Cream butter and sugars in a large bowl until light and fluffy.

  4. Mix in vanilla and eggs, one at a time.

  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture.

  6. Fold in chocolate chips and nuts.

  7. Scoop dough onto baking sheets and bake for 9-11 minutes.

  8. Cool for 5 minutes on the sheet before transferring to a rack.
