Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients:
2 1/4 cups (280g) all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup (230g) unsalted butter (softened)
3/4 cup (150g) granulated sugar
3/4 cup (160g) packed brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 large eggs
2 cups (340g) semisweet chocolate chips
Optional: 1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
Cream butter and sugars in a large bowl until light and fluffy.
Mix in vanilla and eggs, one at a time.
Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
Fold in chocolate chips and nuts.
Scoop dough onto baking sheets and bake for 9-11 minutes.
Cool for 5 minutes on the sheet before transferring to a rack.
